The next round of community engagement will present the OCP and Zoning recommendations to the public for review and to seek feedback on whether the updates are on the right track.

This is your opportunity to shape how change happens carefully over time and reflects community values, supports livable neighbourhoods, and considers the needs of current and future residents. Feedback from this engagement will be considered along with final technical analysis, Council direction and relevant legislation to create a balanced plan that is supported by the community.

What's next?

The engagement period will run from the Special Council Meeting on September 15, 2025, to October 14, 2025, including the events detailed above.

At the conclusion of engagement, the results will be summarized and presented to Council in a final “What We Heard” report. Concurrently, the project team will revise and finalize the OCP and Zoning Update to reflect the feedback heard from the community and from Council. It is expected that the final draft and amendment bylaws will be presented to Council for consideration of first readings in November 2025.
