COVID-19

Let’s connect. The District understands the uncertainty and isolation that many are feeling during this time of COVID-19. We feel it too and felt that it was important to come up with a way that we could unite the community digitally, even though we cannot come together physically.

This site has been created with the purpose of bringing the community together, even though we are apart. Isolation is something that many people are feeling right now and we at the District thought that this would be a great space to share ideas of how you are staying connected, spending your days, recognizing accomplishments of people in your life, and spreading some kindness throughout the community. Do you have an innovative way of staying connected with your loved ones? Did you witness an act of kindness from a neighbour that brightened your day? Share them with your fellow neighbours and community members. We will get through this together.

Spreading Kindness

We could all use a little positivity during these trying times with COVID-19. Have you had a nice experience with a District staff member? Witnessed kindness from a neighbour? Share it with the community and brighten someone's day.

If you haven’t heard, 101 year old John Hillman is walking 101 laps of the courtyard at Carlton House to raise $101,000 for Save the Children Canada’s COVID-19 Relief. If you pass by Carlton House at 11 a.m. you might just see John and his supporters (physically distanced from each other) out in the courtyards. It will be sure to put a smile on your face! http://ctv.news/m1HrMYG
