Background

Oak Bay is home to many parks that hold close memories for families in our region. Carnarvon Park is one of those parks, serving as a pillar of the community.

The District of Oak Bay is looking to the long-term future of the park with a refresh of the Carnarvon Park Master Plan and Main Building design, and wants to hear from community members regarding programs, service levels and design.

Where we are today

After reviewing the January public feedback of the 30% complete design package, Oak Bay Council approved the park and facility designs at the Monday, February 23rd Council Meeting. Staff will now advance work on the building and park amenity designs for the $32.1 million dollar project and bring back a 90% design package to Council in Summer 2026.
