Background

Oak Bay is home to many parks that hold close memories for families in our region. Carnarvon Park is one of those parks, serving as a pillar of the community.

The District of Oak Bay is looking to the long-term future of the park with a refresh of the Carnarvon Park Master Plan and Main Building design, and wants to hear from community members regarding programs, service levels and design.

Where we are today

At the December 9, 2024, Regular Council Meeting, Council directed staff to move forward with Option 3.1 - “Large Pavilion with Childcare” - to the detailed design stage. Staff are preparing Project Charter documents as well as Requests for Proposal for the next stage of the Main Building and Park Design.
